The other person is ALWAYS free to believe what he or she wishes to believe, no matter how physically, emotionally or intellectually painful we try to make it for them to do so.
In the end, the only thing that genuinely changes a person's attitude or worldview is a radical change of heart. And it is only through love, forgiveness, patience and boundless compassion that we hold the power to connect, heart to heart, with each other, and thus to influence the heart space of somebody else.
